She Has Learned How To Find People Hen I Pass Out, I Wake Up To Family Members Saying She Ran To Them & Started Crying & Running Toward Where I Was

Turns Off Lights

This One Is Still A Work In Process, But She Can Do it When Prompted

Our Main Focus Has Been To Get Basic Public Access Perfect Before Perfecting Task Training

Bella Was A Brindle Pitbull That I Adopted From Front Street Animal Shelter In Sacramento California

She Was A Timid 11 Month Old That Definitely Looked As Though She Came From A Rough Background.

I Immediately Knew Bella Was The One I Wanted So I Managed To Convince My Parents To Let Me Adopt Her That Same Day.

I Still Had To Wait 3 Days Before My Angel Could Come Home For Her To Be Spayed, But It Was Worth The Wait The Second Meeting Was Better Than The First!

The Minute I Got Bella Home She Became A Completely Different Dog Than At The Shelter, She Cuddled Up In Bed Next To Me & That Was The Beginning Of An Amazing Relationship

Within 4 Months, Bella Had Passed Her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Test Allowing Her To Be A "Service Dog In Training" In Public. I Took That As Our Go Pass & I Began Taking Her Everywhere To Train. She Would Go Anywhere & Everywhere With Me!

Whether The Trainer Agreed WIth Me Or Not, Taking Bella Out In Public "Prematurely" Created Such A Bond & Taught Bella Early That She Was Meant To Be A Working Girl!

After Having Different Views Than Our Trainer, I Decided To Separate From Training Companies All Together. I Made The Hard Decision To Self- Train Her Then Get Her "Officially Certified" Later.

Bella's Training Took Off From There

We Trained Together Every Chance We Got!

Bella Started Immediately Taking To The Training, While Still Showing Off Her Pitbull Attitude!

She Knew How To Do What I Was Asking, She Would Just Decide When She Would Do Them!

As The Months Went On, It Was Harder On My Body For Me To Take Bella out For Public Access Training. Since She Was Not At A Perfect Level, It Would Be Too Much For Me To Be Constantly Training In Stores When I Was Barely Able To Get Through Myself, So It Had To Be All At Home Work Until She Was At A Level Where I Did Not Have To Worry!

The Only Public Places She Was Doing At The Time Would Be Doctors Appointments In Standford & Some Appointments Around Town. One Of Our Long Day Visits To Standford Hospital

This Was Really Hard For Her, As She Wanted To Go Everywhere I Went!

After Months Of Hard Work, We're Finally Back At A Point Where She Is Doing Well Enough To Go Back In Public Without Needing Many Corrections From Me!

She Has Been A Wonderful Addition To Our Outings & I Never Want To Leave Home Without Her!

Its Now Been A Year & A Half Together
Each Day, Our Connection Grows Stronger Everyday
